Col du Diable Southwest couloir

Col du Diable Southwest couloir was first descended by M.Siffredi and B.Delapier on 1998. Since then it hasn't seen many repeats (at least we tourists don't know about them...). The route starts with an easy snow-ramp followed by some mixed climbing. After that the main couloir opens up and it's pretty straight forward up to the col. We took the branch on skiers left, which was skiable from the very top. The first bit from the col is quite steep and narrow. Overall the snow was pretty demanding and hard, but it softened a bit before our descent at around 2pm. I think at the end we had luck with the conditions.

Les Marecottes powder fiesta!

Today we had a blast at Les Marecottes. Knee deep light powder, good company and not too many people around. Just to way I like it! Check the photos here.
